We are delighted to welcome two new board members, Pernilla Sandwall and Marie Gårdmark, to Clinical Trial Consultants

Both bring extensive senior leadership experience from the life sciences sector with special focus on clinical research and regulatory strategy in pharma/medtech development. Their combined international experience, strategic insight, industry network, and proven track record in scaling organizations will be invaluable as we continue our journey.

Marie Gårdmark

Marie Gårdmark is an experienced leader from regulatory authority and life science industry. As Director of Licensing at the Medical Product Agency she was responsible for the Agency’s decisions on drug approvals including clinical trials and scientific advice. As a regulator she has actively contributed to development of new guidelines and legislation. Marie has extensive experience from global regulatory roles in drug development from pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Marie is co-founder of RegSmart Life Science AB and served as the CEO for 7 years. She has a role as Senior Advisor at RegSmart.

Pernilla Sandwall

Pernilla Sandwall is an experienced life sciences executive and board member with more than 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotech development. She has held senior roles as CEO and COO in both privately owned and publicly listed companies, with strong expertise in clinical development, people leadership, and corporate governance. Pernilla brings long experience from the global pharma company Merck&Co/MSD, as well as hands-on leadership in the smaller innovation-driven life science companies WntResearch and InDex Pharmaceuticals. She has served as board member at Alzinova, LIF SME/IML and Pharmacists Without Borders. Pernilla holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from Uppsala University, Sweden.
